Steve was the poet-in-residence at Gettysburg National Park in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, sponsored by the National Parks Arts Foundation and the Poetry Foundation.

PROVISO: America, Family Class, and Queer Immigration, a collaborative text/image project between Steve and visual artist Kristen Tomecek sponsored by the Tulsa Artist Fellowship, was on display at the Cameron Project Space in Tulsa. See a recap here. The exhibition was turned into a chapbook of text and images by Paper Machine Press in 2022.

Steve’s poetic sequence “Geronimo Dolls” was on exhibit at the Gilcrease Museum in Tulsa in conjunction with the museum’s collection of photographs of Geronimo.

Steve was an artist in residence at Crosstown Arts in Memphis.
